Job summary

Oasis Rehabilitation and Nursing has a Temporary Full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) opportunity. This in-person, temp role offers benefits and a path to potential permanent employment.

As a COTA, you will select activities, assist residents with daily tasks, monitor progress, teach equipment use, and collaborate with the OT to plan rehabilitation. Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited COTA program
• Experience in long-term care settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities.
• Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor Residents' performance in therapy activities, providing encouragement.
• Teach Residents how to use equipment to assist daily function.
• Collaborate with OT to establish rehabilitation plan.
• Supervise Residents' activities to ensure proper execution.
• Report Residents' progress to the OT.

COTA Duties Include:

• Select therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities.
• Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor Residents' performance in therapy activities, providing encouragement.
• Teach Residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.
• Work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Supervise Residents' activities to ensure they are done properly.
• Report the Resident's progress to the OT.

COTA Requirements Include:

• A graduate of an accredited COTA Program
• Experience in Long Term Care settings preferred

Salary: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour
