Job summary

Tulsa Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will perform components of therapy under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, helping patients progress toward functional independence.

In this role, you will document responses and outcomes, coordinate with the OT team, and contribute to a comprehensive care plan while ensuring safety and high-quality care standards are met.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association/Red Cross; online cert not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform components of occupational therapy procedures under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Record patient responses to treatment and report outcomes to the OT.
• Assist patients in achieving maximum functional performance within their capabilities.
• Maintain documentation and ensure safety and accuracy of records.

Job description

Position Summary:

Performs component of occupational therapy procedures and related tasks under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and in accordance with practices of occupational therapy. Patient population ranges in age from 18 years to geriatric experiencing rehabilitation diagnosis/conditions and/or conditions requiring rehabilitation. Assist patients in achieving his/her maximum functional performance while learning to live within his/her capabilities. Record patient’s responses to treatment and report treatment outcomes to the Occupational Therapist.

Pay:

Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualification:

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience.
