A leading rehabilitation facility in Cincinnati seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patients' rehabilitation under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include assisting patients in achieving maximum functional performance and documenting treatment responses. The ideal candidate must hold a current state license and BLS certification. Qualifications

Job description

Position Summary:

Performs component of occupational therapy procedures and related tasks under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and in accordance with practices of occupational therapy. Patient population ranges in age from 18 years to geriatric experiencing rehabilitation diagnosis/conditions and/or conditions requiring rehabilitation. Assist patients in achieving his/her maximum functional performance while learning to live within his/her capabilities. Record patient’s responses to treatment and report treatment outcomes to the Occupational Therapist.

Schedule:

Weekday and PRN Weekend availability

Pay:

Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualification:

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience.
