Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Daytona Beach is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for Per Diem Days. You will work under the direct supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill patients recovering from post-ICU experiences.

The role emphasizes conducting individual therapy sessions, documenting progress, and adapting treatments as needed.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required or as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and treat patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Conduct individual therapy sessions for patients with complex needs.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and modify plans accordingly.
• Complete documentation in accordance with department policies.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars.
