Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Orlando Central is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide per diem patient care in a 31-bed unit. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to deliver therapy and monitor patient progress, with documentation aligned to hospital policies.

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a COTA.
  • BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under supervision of an OT.

  • Complete documentation per department policies.
  • Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Schedule: Per Diem
Compensation: $35.00 per hour
Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central is a 31-bed free-standing critical illness recovery hospital. We specialize in helping critically ill patients breathe, speak, eat, walk and think as independently as possible. Our hospital also offers medical rehabilitation through Select Medical Rehabilitation, a 32-bed acute rehabilitation unit. The unit is designed to meet an individual’s rehabilitation needs and goals through a range of programs and services. The unit is located within Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central

  • Monitoring patient\'s response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
  • Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
  • Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required or as required by state regulations.
