Job summary

Independence Rehab is seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at Arbor Village in Kent and Solstice at Pointe Defiance in Tacoma. You’ll work in SNF/outpatient settings with residents, focusing on rehabilitation, independence, and quality of life.

We offer flexible scheduling, CE benefit up to $750/year, medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) with employer matching, and up to three weeks of paid time off.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State OTA license in good standing.
• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Organized, self-motivated, and patient-focused.
• Passion for working with the geriatric population.
• One year of SNF experience preferred, but newer clinicians with strong interest in geriatrics are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Treat a diverse caseload in SNF/outpatient settings.
• Perform and assist with transfers.
• Provide adaptive ADL retraining and functional task practice.
• Collaborate closely with the evaluating OT and interdisciplinary care team.
• Competency training is available and supported.

Independence Rehab is actively seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at Arbor Village in Kent, and Solstice at Pointe Defiance in Tacoma, both very well-regarded assisted living facilities.

About the Role

As a COTA in a skilled nursing setting, you'll split time between Pointe Defiance and Arbor Village on an outpatient basis, working collaboratively with the therapy team to support residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care-helping them achieve meaningful progress and improved quality of life.
