Job Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment, adhering to professional standards and ethical practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
• Current, valid state OTA licensure or certification
• Current CPR certification (preferred)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including exercises and ADL training.
• Support patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to enhance independence.
• Document patient responses, progress, and communicate findings to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, strategies, and home adaptations.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Support therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
