Job summary

An established healthcare provider is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, ensuring that each patient receives the highest standard of therapy services. You will implement and modify treatment plans, document patient progress, and support patients and their families throughout their recovery journey. Qualifications

  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing required.

Job Summary: The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT). Responsibilities include documenting treatments, patient condition changes, and other relevant information.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services per physician orders under OT supervision.
  • Respond to service requests by relaying information and referrals to OT.
  • Implement and modify treatment plans with OT oversight.
  • Support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as needed.
  • Complete documentation in line with policies and regulations.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Preferred experience in SNF/Long-term care.
  • Knowledge of current treatment practices.
  • Familiarity with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
  • Ability to manage diverse patient personalities.
  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Pennsylvania (in good standing).
