Job Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment, adhering to professional standards and ethical practices.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current, valid state OTA licensure or certification
• CPR certification (preferred)

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
• Experience: 0-1 years

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients perform exercises and activities to improve their functional abilities and independence.
• Document patient responses, progress, and report findings to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and adaptive strategies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Support therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
