Job Overview

We are looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of the Director of Therapy to deliver high-quality care, helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their daily living activities (ADLs).

Duties

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the Director of Therapy.
• Provide direct patient care, ensuring safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and exercises to support recovery.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective care plans tailored to each patient.
• Use knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to inform treatment approaches.
• Support patients in performing daily activities to promote independence and quality of life.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of occupational health practices and patient care principles.
• Experience in a skilled nursing setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy.
