Job summary

East Bay Post Acute in Castro Valley, CA, is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house therapy team. Under supervision of an OT, you will implement treatment plans, help residents improve independence, and support ADLs with a multidisciplinary team.

Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities are available. We value teamwork, ongoing growth, and a patient-centered approach to rehab, with mentorship and a collaborative work culture.

Qualifications

  • Active California Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of an OT.
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to improve independence.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Monitor progress and report changes to the OT and team.
  • Maintain accurate treatment documentation and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on goals, care planning, and discharge planning.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on techniques and safety.
  • Assist with training restorative aides and support nursing staff as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and families to support goals.
