Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide skilled therapy services to pediatric patients in a comfortable environment. This position requires a valid Texas license and clinical experience in pediatrics, ideally including home health services.

Requirements

• Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
• Current state of Texas licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
• 6 months full-time clinical experience
• Pediatrics experience
• Home Health experience preferred
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities include

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising OT according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the occupational therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances occupational therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
