Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled pediatric occupational therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities, under physician orders.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, ongoing professional development, and commitment to high-quality home health care. Texas licensure and 6 months of experience are required, with pediatrics and home health experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • 6 months full-time clinical experience
  • Pediatrics experience
  • Home Health experience preferred
  • Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
  • Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
  • Schedules supervision visit(s) with supervising OT according to Texas board guidelines
  • Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
  • Plans for care to meet goals of the occupational therapy interventions
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances occupational therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements
  • Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
  • Current state of Texas licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • 6 months full-time clinical experience
