North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Frisco, TX is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide pediatric occupational therapy services in patients’ homes or daytime facilities. The role emphasizes collaboration with the medical team and adherence to physician orders.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy, Texas OTA licensure, and at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience with pediatric patients; home health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current state of Texas licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• 6 months full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatric experience.
• Home Health experience preferred.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in the patient’s home or daytime facility.
• Schedule supervision visit(s) with supervising OT according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plan for care to meet goals of the occupational therapy interventions.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhance occupational therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
