Job Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment, adhering to professional standards and ethical practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
• Current valid state OTA licensure or certification
• Preferred: Current CPR certification

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including exercises and ADL training
• Help patients improve functional abilities and independence through exercises and adaptive techniques
• Document patient responses, progress, and report to supervising therapist
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and adaptive strategies
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care
• Support therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress
• Perform other duties as assigned
