Job Summary:

The occupational therapy assistant performs patient-related activities, including purposeful activities or interventions to maximize independence and maintain health for individuals limited by physical injuries, illnesses, cognitive impairments, psychosocial dysfunctions, mental illnesses, developmental or learning disabilities, or adverse environmental conditions.

Major Duties and Critical Tasks:

• Assist the occupational therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
• Observe, record, and report the patient's condition, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
• Assist in consulting with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
• Help care for the occupational therapy department and equipment.
• Support in-service programs and meetings as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
