Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Woburn, Massachusetts.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated COTA to provide high-quality, person-centered occupational therapy services to our residents and patients. You will work closely with Occupational Therapists and an experienced interdisciplinary team to help patients improve functional independence, safety, mobility, and quality of life.
Pay: $32–$43 per hour
PRN opportunities may also be available.
Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and established therapeutic goals.
Provide therapeutic activities addressing activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, strength, coordination, cognition, balance, and other areas of occupational performance.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, adaptive techniques, and tasks designed to promote independence.
Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and responses to interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
Educate residents, patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, safety, adaptive strategies, and ways to promote independence.
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Communicate changes in patient condition or functional status to the appropriate healthcare team members.
Follow established treatment plans, professional standards, facility policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Participate in required meetings and other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current and valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Massachusetts.
Must be in good standing with applicable licensing and regulatory agencies.
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of occupational therapy treatment techniques and rehabilitation practices.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with residents and patients with a variety of needs and abilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Occupational Therapists and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Familiarity with electronic therapy documentation systems, including Net Health, preferred.
