Job summary

Cambridge Healthcare Services, LLC in Bell Gardens, CA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support the rehabilitation team in a skilled nursing setting.

The COTA will assist the OT in delivering individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, educate residents and families, and ensure a safe, compliant clinical environment. Licensure as a COTA in California is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure or certification as a COTA.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Administer therapeutic activities and exercises as prescribed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and report any changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate residents and their families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to residents.
