Canyon Kids Therapy is a brand-new pediatric outpatient clinic located between Helotes and Alamo Ranch in NW San Antonio. We provide individualized, play-based occupational therapy for children with Autism, ADHD, Feeding Difficulties, Developmental Delays, Sensory Processing differences, and Emotional Regulation challenges.

Role Description

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works closely with the supervising OTR to deliver exceptional pediatric OT services. This role is available as part-time or full-time, with hours of operation discussed based on clinic needs and candidate availability. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, facilitating sensory-motor and functional activities, documenting efficiently, and maintaining a positive clinic atmosphere.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, receptive to constructive feedback, and confident managing back-to-back treatment blocks while supporting children and families with compassion and clarity.

Schedule & Hours

Clinic operates Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM

• Treatment sessions are scheduled in 30-minute or 60-minute blocks
• Must be comfortable providing back-to-back treatment sessions
• Full-time: 40 hours/week
• Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM-5:30 PM or 9:00 AM-6:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
• Part-time: Flexible scheduling based on availability and clinic needs; benefits not included

$25-$32/hr, depending on experience

• Receive and apply constructive feedback to support clinical growth
• Collaborate with the OTR to adjust activities, goals, and strategies
• Uphold a positive, respectful, and team-oriented clinic culture
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging therapy environment

Qualifications

• Current Texas COTA license
• Pediatric experience preferred (clinic, school, home health, or fieldwork)
• Strong understanding of child development, sensory processing, and emotional regulation
• Professional, reliable, and able to maintain calm and composure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable with fast-paced scheduling and back-to-back treatments
• Organized and consistent with documentation
• Willingness to receive and integrate constructive feedback
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
