Responsibilities

A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) plays a vital role in patient rehabilitation, assisting individuals with physical, mental, or emotional conditions to develop, recover, and maintain daily living and working skills. Key responsibilities include:

1. Patient Care Execution: Implement therapeutic plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist, including instructing patients on adaptive equipment, guiding exercises, and facilitating activities essential for recovery.
2. Activity and Program Planning: Contribute to designing and selecting therapeutic activities tailored to each patient's needs and interests, aligning with goals set by the occupational therapist.
3. Progress Monitoring: Observe, document, and report patient progress, adjusting therapy interventions as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
4. Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and families about therapy processes, adaptive equipment, and home modifications to support ongoing recovery and independence.

Qualifications
