Job summary

Henderson Nursing Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Henderson, NC is seeking a compassionate and licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehab team. You will work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to help implement care plans, guide residents through therapeutic activities, and promote recovery in a supportive long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Current state license/registration as a COTA.
• Experience in long-term care is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist movement.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and exercises based on OT treatment plans.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and independence.
• Document therapy sessions and track patient progress.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and families to support goals.
• Educate residents and staff on at-home and restorative programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality programs.
• Float to nearby facilities if needed based on patient needs.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehab team at Henderson Nursing Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. As a COTA, you will work closely under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to help implement care plans, guide residents through therapeutic activities, and promote recovery and mobility in a supportive long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and exercises based on treatment plans created by the OT
• Assist residents with activities that support daily living and independence
• Accurately document therapy sessions and track patient progress
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and family members to support care goals
• Educate residents, families, and staff on at-home and restorative programs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement programs
• Float to nearby facilities if needed based on patient needs

Qualifications
