AOT, Inc. is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based therapy services to students from preschool through 12th grade in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

The role focuses on supporting student development in fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional participation in the classroom. Travel between school locations is required during the school day.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Snapshot: We are seeking a COTA to work full-time (5 days/week, M-F, school hours) with school-age students and preschool students in Beaver County, Pennsylvania!

Job Summary

A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides school-based therapy services to students from preschool through 12th grade under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role focuses on supporting student development in fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional participation in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students (PreK–12) under OT supervision


• Assist in implementing IEP goals and individualized treatment plans


• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student success


• Complete required documentation, including:


• Progress notes


• Support for IEP updates and reviews


• Participate in IEP meetings as needed


• Support student development in areas such as:


• Sensory integration


• Activities of daily living (ADLs)


• Travel between school locations during the school day (between assigned districts)

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program


• Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
