Job summary

Sayegh Pediatric Therapy Services, P.C. in Northampton County, PA is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based therapy for preschool children ages 3–5 in our Early Intervention program.

Under the supervision of a licensed OT, you will implement treatment plans, support IEP goals, collaborate with teachers and families, and document progress. The role follows the school calendar with about 201 workdays per year and offers mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania COTA license.
• Experience with young children preferred.
• Early Intervention or school-based experience a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Sayegh Pediatric Therapy Services is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based occupational therapy services within our Preschool Early Intervention (3–5) program in Northampton County.

This position follows the school-based calendar (approximately 201 workdays per year) and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping young children develop the skills they need to succeed in the educational environment.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide occupational therapy services to preschool-aged children in educational settings. The COTA collaborates with therapists, educators, families, and other professionals to support each child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and educational success.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based occupational therapy services to children ages 3–5.
• Implement treatment plans and therapeutic activities developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Support students in achieving measurable IEP goals through specially designed instruction.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, families, and educational staff.
• Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and other relevant meetings as appropriate.
• Document treatment sessions, student progress, and required service notes in a timely manner.
• Assist with screenings, referrals, evaluations, record reviews, and required documentation.
• Utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques and adaptive strategies to maximize student participation within the educational environment.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with state regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
• Experience working with young children is preferred.
• Early Intervention or school-based experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• $40.00 per hour
• Mileage reimbursement at $0.50 per mile
• School-based schedule with approximately 201 workdays per year
