Job summary

Adept Nursing & Rehab of Central City is hiring a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. You will help residents regain independence, improve daily functioning, and enhance quality of life under the supervision of a licensed OT.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited COTA program with an active or eligible state license; prior SNF or rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program.
• Current state COTA license or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and independence.
• Provide training in activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and bathing.
• Document resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans.
• Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and adaptive equipment.

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. This role focuses on helping residents improve their ability to perform activities of daily living and achieve their highest level of independence.
