Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident care and therapy activities. You will support treatment plans, ensure accurate documentation, and help maintain a safe, compliant care environment.

Responsibilities include treating residents under supervision, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, educating residents and families, and assisting with equipment and safety measures.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in computer skills such as inputting data into Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state and maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment per infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and rehab meetings as needed.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with the supervising OT for updates to physicians and staff.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home programs.
• Recommend and facilitate necessary durable medical equipment for ADLs.
