Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, NJ is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a Per Diem/PRN basis. The position offers an hourly compensation of $42 and requires availability for 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with weekday and weekend needs.

The role involves treating patients with complex needs under OT supervision, documenting progress, and participating in ongoing education within a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• Certified BLS or completion within 90 days of employment is required or as per state regulations.

Responsabilités

• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor patient's response to treatment and modify treatment in collaboration with an OT.
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Responsibilities

As a COTA you will be reporting directly to the Occupational Therapist, you will be treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.

• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required or as required by state regulations.
