Job summary

AristaCare Health Services in New Jersey is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to plan, organize, develop and direct therapy services in accordance with standards and CMS expectations.

You will evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, document per NetHealth CMS, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. A BS in OT is required along with a NJ license and ongoing CE credits to maintain licensure and certification, ensuring high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (or equivalent).
• Active NJ Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• Commitment to ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.
• Ability to maintain CMS/NetHealth documentation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapist services consistent with standards of practice and company procedures.
• Adhere to documentation and billing procedures for therapy services.
• Evaluate residents to obtain data for treatment plans and outcomes.
• Develop short and long-term treatment goals and plans.
• Interpret evaluation findings and communicate with residents, families, and the inter-disciplinary team.
• Screen residents regularly to determine need for intervention or treatment.
• Perform specialized evaluations as indicated and adjust plans accordingly.
• Complete compliant documentation to CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems.

Job description

Job Purpose:

To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Occupational Therapist services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by DOR, Administrator, or regional support team to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Job Functions:

• Provide Occupational Therapist services to residents in accordance with established standards of practice, Company procedures, Therapy Department procedures and productivity standards.

• Adhere to Company procedures regarding documentation and billing of Occupational Therapist services.

• Demonstrate sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of resident therapy programs.

• Conduct screening of residents at regular intervals to determine the need for intervention/treatment.

• Conduct timely screening of residents referred to physical therapy to determine the need for intervention/ treatment.

• Evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.

• Conduct specialized evaluations as indicated.

• Develop treatment plans by establishing short and long-term goals and methods to achieve identified goals.

• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/ responsible parties, and interdisciplinary team members.

• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems

Education & Requirements:

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

• Must have an active Occupational Therapy Assistant license in New Jersey

• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification -
