VHS Home Health Care is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to support residents in improving independence and daily living skills. You will work under the supervision of a licensed OT, implementing treatment plans and performing evaluations across our Newport News and surrounding locations.

Qualifikationen

• Current license as an OTA in the state of practice.
• CPR certification required.

Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities available!

Locations include: Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Gloucester, Kilmarnock, Norfolk and Virginia Beach

$35-$45/hour (all inclusive)

Responsibilities for Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA):

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist with resident evaluations and ongoing assessments, reporting progress and treatment outcomes.
• Guide residents through therapeutic, self-care, and functional activities to improve independence and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
• Modify treatment interventions in collaboration with the supervising Occupational Therapist based on resident progress and physician orders.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals, home programs, and the use of adaptive equipment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate resident progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, care planning, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications for Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA):

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the American Medical Association (AMA).
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a practicing Occupational Therapist Assistant in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
