The COTA will work under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients improve daily living skills, regain independence, and reach their highest level of function in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active California OTA license required.
• NBCOT COTA certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work with an interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Assist patients in improving daily living skills and independence.
• Follow individualized treatment plans created by the OT.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely.
• Communicate updates with the supervising OT and care team.
• Support patients with safe, effective therapeutic activities.

• Follow facility, state, and federal guidelines

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program


• Skilled nursing, rehab, long-term care, or geriatric experience preferred


• Strong communication and documentation skills


• Compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused


• Ability to work well with an interdisciplinary care team

License and Certification Requirements

Compensation and Schedule

$44–$49 per hour

35 hours per week

Monday–Friday
