Job summary

Garden Springs Healthcare in Fremont, Ohio is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to plan, organize, develop, and direct therapy services in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. The role requires an Associate's degree in occupational therapy and active OTA licensure in the state(s) of practice.

You will screen residents, develop and follow treatment plans, communicate findings to families and the care team, schedule sessions, document and bill for services, and

• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to determine best intervention for each patient.
• Perform treatment plans following established goals and plan of care.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families, and the care team.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with input from the team.
• Conduct therapy and ensure proper documentation and billing of services.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards daily.

Job Purpose:To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice.

• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals based off the established plan of care by supervising therapist.

• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members.

• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services.

• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients.

• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated.

Education & Qualifications

• Associate's degree in occupational therapy

• MUST have active OTA licensure in state(s) of practice.

• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.
