Job summary

Confluence Health is seeking a Medical Assistant Certified to support providers and the care team in ambulatory clinics across Washington. You will perform clerical tasks, assist with patient visits, and help maintain patient flow with a friendly, professional demeanor.

The role requires active MA-C or interim license, CPR within 90 days, and promotes a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for certified medical assistants.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Active WA MA Interim (IC) or MA-C license through WA DOH or awaiting licensure.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Accredited Medical Assisting program graduate, or enrolled in externship program, OR Medical Assistant Apprentice with CCMA exam progress.
• Desired: Previous MA in ambulatory care, basic computer skills, EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and prepares them for exam to maintain timely flow.
• Obtains and records vital signs per department protocols in EMR.
• Obtains medical history and reasons for visit; documents accurately.
• Administers injections and medications per provider guidance.
• Assists in procedures and minor emergencies as directed.
• Schedules labs, x-ray, and other tests; provides patient instructions.
• Communicates with patients and coordinates with providers.
• Maintains clean exam rooms and stocks supplies daily.
• Float across clinics to ensure staffing and continuity of care.
• Maintains active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
