The CharterCARE Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, RI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Unit Secretary to support nursing teams on the 1st shift (7 am–7 pm). You will assist RNs, provide patient care, and perform routine clerical tasks to keep unit operations smooth.

Requirements include Rhode Island CNA licensure, BLS, and at least one year of acute care experience; ICU/CCU experience preferred. This is a full-time regular position with 64–80 hours per two-week pay period.

Qualifications

• Rhode Island CNA license is required (BLS also required).
• Minimum one year of acute care experience preferred.
• ICU/CCU experience is preferred.

Summary:The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists the Registered Nurse in providing care for a defined group of patients under the direction of an RN or other Clinical Provider. The CNA provides nursing care to promote recovery, prevent illness and assist patients and families to reach optimal health. The CNA may also be required to support the Clinical Unit with routine administrative, clerical tasks.

Education:High School education or equivalent is preferred. Must have a current Rhode Island CNA license. BLS required.

Experience:Prefer a minimum of one year in an acute care setting. Previous ICU/CCU experience required.
