Job summary

Storybrook Care and Rehabilitation in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant PRN to join a compassionate team dedicated to rehabilitation and skilled nursing.

You will perform duties per policies, conduct rounds every shift and every two hours, verify resident IDs before care, report missing ID bands, and assist with daily living activities, including beds and water provision.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a CNA.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical experience during training.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Ability to relate to ill, elderly and emotionally upset residents.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

• Performing all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility's established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures, and safety rules and regulations
• Making resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to administer quality nursing care
• Verifying the identification of a resident before administering nursing care or serving food to ensure that appropriate care is being provided to the correct resident
• Reporting missing ID bands to the admission coordinator immediately
• Assisting with daily living activities, such as making beds, cleaning bedside and overbed tables, and ensuring that water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh drinking water, and within the resident's reach

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant
• A minimum of 6 months experience as a certified nursing assistant or clinical experience while enrolled in a nursing assistant certification class
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
• Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the facility
