Job summary

Storybrook Care and Rehabilitation in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant PRN to join our compassionate team. You will provide rehabilitation and skilled nursing support to residents, delivering quality, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a CNA program or hold a CNA license.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical experience during CNA training.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Ability to relate to ill, elderly and emotionally upset individuals in a care setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every 2 hours to provide nursing care.
• Verify resident identity before care or serving meals.
• Report missing ID bands to the admission coordinator immediately.
• Assist with daily living activities and maintain clean, safe resident areas.

Certified Nursing Assistant PRN - Fort Collins, CO

Join our compassionate team at Storybrook Care and Rehabilitation, where your care and recovery are our top priorities. As a Certified Nursing Assistant PRN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional rehabilitation and skilled nursing services to our residents.

About the Role:

• Performing all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility's established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures, and safety rules and regulations
• Making resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to administer quality nursing care
• Verifying the identification of a resident before administering nursing care or serving food to ensure that appropriate care is being provided to the correct resident
• Reporting missing ID bands to the admission coordinator immediately
• Assisting with daily living activities, such as making beds, cleaning bedside and overbed tables, and ensuring that water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh drinking water, and within the resident's reach

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant
• A minimum of 6 months experience as a certified nursing assistant or clinical experience while enrolled in a nursing assistant certification class
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
• Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the facility
