Job summary

Idaho Division of Veterans Services in Post Falls is building a pool of part-time CNAs to support care for residents at the State Veterans Home. Positions offer 12-hour shifts with eligibility for benefits when working 24+ hours per week; night shifts include a 10% differential.

Officers will perform nursing care, vital sign checks, and daily care tasks. Criminal history background checks are required after a conditional offer, with NATCEP or CNA Registry verification.

Qualifications

• Must hold Idaho Nursing Assistant Certification and be listed in good standing on the Idaho State Nurse Aide Registry.
• Alternatively, completion of NATCEP with eligibility for state CNA Registry and passing required tests.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal nursing care for elderly residents.
• Determines resident needs and records vital signs.
• Provides personal hygiene care and maintains a safe, sanitary environment.
• Lifts, positions, transports, and assists with walking and other movements.
• Feeds residents requiring assistance and follows care plans.
• Records care and reports changes to the health-care team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Idaho Division of Veterans Services (IDVS) is recruiting for a pool of temporary, part-time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support our dedicated team of health care professionals at the State Veterans Home inPost Falls. If you are a student looking for one shift a week, we can work with your schedule.

We offer 12-hour shifts and currently have openings for all shifts.

These positions are benefited if working 24 hours or more per week. These positions are non-benefited if working less than 19 hours per week.

• Night shift employees receive an additional 10% shift differential!

Responsibilities

• Performs personal nursing care for elderly residents.
• Determines resident needs and takes and records vital signs.
• Provides personal hygiene care and maintains a safe and sanitary resident-care environment.
• Lifts, positions, transports, and escorts residents and assists with walking and other body movements.
• Feeds residents who require assistance and implements individual resident treatment plans as outlined by supervisor.
• Records resident care, reporting changes in physical or mental status to health-care team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Certification

Possession of Nursing Assistant Certification in Idaho and listed in good standings on the Idaho State Nurse Aide Registry

OR

Completion of a state-approved nurse aide training or competency evaluation program (NATCEP) and eligible for placement on the State Nurse Aide Registry, which requires:

• Verification of completion of a state-approved NATCEP.

AND

• Verification the skills competency test has been passed.

AND

• Verification the written test has been scheduled for placement on the CNA Registry.
