Job summary

Emerald Healthcare’s Holmes Lake Rehabilitation & Care Center is seeking a compassionate CNA to join our skilled nursing team. You will provide high-quality resident care, assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support a safe, comfortable environment.

This full-time evening shift (10:30 PM–6:30 AM) emphasizes teamwork with nurses and physicians. Experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred; Nebraska CNA certification required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Physical requirements: ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
• Certifications: Current CNA certification in Nebraska

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.
• Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
• Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
