Base pay range

$28.50/hr - $28.50/hr

Position Description

A nursing assistant responsible for providing routine nursing care according to established policies and procedures, under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator, to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• At least 6 months of experience as a CNA or clinical experience during certification training.
• Genuine desire to serve the ill, aged, and infirm.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, and the public.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and ability to handle residents at various maturity levels.
• Good health and emotional stability.
• Ability to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes hostile individuals.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties per facility policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Make rounds at shift start and every two hours to administer nursing care.
• Verify resident identity before care or serving food.
• Report missing ID bands immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled, and accessible.
• Other duties as directed by supervisors.
