Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice to meet patient needs following standards, physician orders, policies, and guidelines.
• Use and understand the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Participate in and assist with the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilize the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring.
• Notify departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admits, discharges).
• Conduct family and patient education.
• Administer medications and treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Receive, transcribe, and execute physician orders, if permitted by Nurse Practice Act.
• Make rounds with physicians as necessary.

Qualifications

• Current LVN license in California or a valid compact license for other states.
• One-year nursing management experience preferred.
• Experience in long-term care and Point Click Care charting.
