Job summary

California Rehabilitation Institute in Century City/Los Angeles, CA is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for full-time day shifts 7:00 am–7:30 pm. Pay rate $24.00–$32.30 hourly, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

This inpatient rehab hospital is a joint venture with Cedars, UCLA and Select Medical to provide exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with daily care, delivering meals, and safe turning/positioning.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or completed within 90 days.
• Active CNA license in California.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care (bathing, hygiene, hair care).
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients as needed and documenting intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely and participating in mobility programs.
• Answering call lights and providing services to enhance patient well-being.
• Transporting patients to designated areas and treatment centers.

Education

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• Must have active CNA license in the state

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience

Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process and are to be completed before an employee's first day of work.
