Job summary

California Rehabilitation Institute in Century City/Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for part-time night shifts from 7pm to 7:30am to support inpatient rehabilitation patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The pay rate ranges from $24.00 to $32.30 per hour, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

This role is part of a joint venture involving Cedars, UCLA and Select Medical, and includes

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with daily care such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Deliver meals and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Turn and position immobile patients, participate in mobility program.
• Answer call bells and perform services for patient well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas and treatment centers.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• Must have active CNA license in the state

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience
