## Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Unit - DaysApply: Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center - Janesville, WI: Part time: Posted Today: 2026-03326**OVERVIEW**As a Clinical Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you’ll play a vital role on the frontlines of patient care—providing hands-on support that directly impacts comfort, safety, and recovery. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while working alongside a skilled clinical team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.**Schedule**: 24 hours per week**Shift**: Days**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Provides patient care as assigned and per routine as defined by educational scope, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures.* Answers call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.* Documents care provided according to standards.* Maintains a clean work and patient environment.* Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.* Floats to various units based on identified patient care needs.* Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.* Training/precepting new partners in collaboration with unit educator* Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) with lab personnel* Bladder scanning procedure reviewed* Bladder scanner training complete (check off sheet for competency)* Attaching patient to remote telemetry or bedside cardiac monitor* Managing and reporting collection devices:* Colostomy, ileostomy or other fecal management systems: care and output measures* Indwelling catheters: care and output measures* Nasogastric tubes to suction* Surgical drains under direction of supervising RN* Competent in completing vital signs: Manual process for blood pressure and required reporting of abnormal values to supervising RN* Discontinue invasive devices under the direction of the supervising RN:* Indwelling (Foley) catheters* Nasogastric tubes* Peripherally inserted intravenous catheters* Similar devices as appropriate**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**Completion of a CNA program.**CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE**Current CNA certificate in applicable state.
