Job summary

Maine Medical Center Biddeford, part of MaineHealth, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Med Surg unit. Full-time, day shift (6:45 AM–7:15 PM), 3 twelve-hour shifts with every third weekend. Sign-on bonuses available for eligible CNAs; up to $4,000 for 1+ years, up to $2,500 for 0–1 year.

Med Surg 3 is a 56-bed unit providing care for a variety of medical-surgical patients including telemetry. Base pay ranges from $20.27–$24.36 per hour, with full benefits and prorated options for PT

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current CNA license in applicable state required.
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of nursing care under RN supervision.

Unit Information

Med Surg 3 (MS3) is a fast-paced 56 bed Adult Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, Maine. The healthcare team provides care to adult complex patient populations from a wide variety of medical-surgical services including, but not limited to, Pulmonary, Renal, Infectious Disease, GI, Cardiac, Hematology/Oncology, and Orthopedics.

Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant – Acute Care role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

The pay range for this position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.
