MaineHealth's Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant for Med Surg 3 (MS3). This day-shift position includes 3 twelve-hour shifts (6:45 AM–7:15 PM) and every third weekend on a fast-paced 56-bed unit.

The role supports RN-led nursing care across multiple medical-surgical service areas. Eligible candidates can receive sign-on bonuses up to $2,500 (0–0.99 years) or up to $4,000 (1+ year) for full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification and BLS within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: Relevant CNA experience preferred.

Unit Information

Med Surg 3 (MS3) is a fast-paced 56 bed Adult Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, Maine. The healthcare team provides care to adult complex patient populations from a wide variety of medical-surgical services including, but not limited to, Pulmonary, Renal, Infectious Disease, GI, Cardiac, Hematology/Oncology, and Orthopedics.

Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant – Acute Care role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

The pay range for this position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.
