Stoughton Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Medical Surgical team on a Full Time basis. The CNA provides direct patient care under RN supervision and may assist with unit clerical duties to ensure smooth operation.

Ideal candidates have CNA training, a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS within 90 days of hire. The role requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, with variable weekday schedules and every third holiday.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program.
• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar.
• Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills expected for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the RN and/or other qualified staff.
• Assists patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) in an effective and timely manner.
• Ensures patient safety at all times.
• Performs clerical duties to assist the smooth operation of the unit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Medical Surgical team on a Full Time basis. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for administering direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or other qualified staff. This position may also perform general clerical duties to ensure the smooth operation of the unit. The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) is responsible for the clerical coordination of the unit. Examples of duties include preparing and maintaining files of medical records, answering phones and triaging phone calls to professional staff, managing supplies, and assisting staff in getting their needs met to do their jobs. Essential Functions: Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the Registered Nurse and/or other qualified staff.
