Job summary

Texas State Technical College is seeking qualified part-time instructors to deliver nursing education under the Corporate College. Instructors may develop customized training curricula and provide instruction for workforce development and industrial training clients.

Qualified candidates hold a Texas LVN/RN license, have at least two years of nursing experience including long-term care, and can teach across classroom, lab, and clinical settings meeting NATCEP requirements.

Qualifications

• Current LVN or RN license in Texas, in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, including at least one (1) year in long-term care.
• Experience teaching, training, or supervising CNAs, nurse aides, or patient care technicians.
• Ability to deliver classroom, lab, and clinical instruction that meets NATCEP requirements.

• Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and international programs.

This position is an entry point for the pool of qualified applicants to be selected for anticipated part-time temporary positions working under the guidance of the Texas State Technical College Corporate College. • This job description covers a position in which the percentage of time spent on the essential functions will vary based on the workload and will ultimately be determined by the supervisor.
