Job summary

Ingleside at King Farm in Rockville, MD, is seeking a CNA I (formerly GNA) for our senior living community. This PRN position requires on-call shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am) and offers wage rates from $19.85 to $23.74 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of nursing or CNA experience, with CPT and CPR certifications often preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; one to three years of clinical nursing experience and CNA I (formerly GNA) required.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities; customer service oriented; good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility)
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and basic observations
• Support patient mobility, transfers, and proper positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment
• Assist with feeding and personal hygiene
• Observe and promptly report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
• Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing, assisting mobility)

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one (1) to three (3) years of clinical nursing experience and CNA I (formerly GNA) required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and be knowledgeable in restorative and medical nursing principles and practices.
