Job summary

Ingleside at King Farm in Rockville, MD seeks a CNA I (formerly GNA) for our senior living community. This full-time role covers 7am–3pm shifts, Mon–Thu and Sat–Sun. Ingleside is a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community with a 5-star CMS rating and CARF certification.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living, vitals, mobility, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. CNA I certification and 1–3 years of CNA experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years of clinical nursing experience.
• CNA I certification; or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; customer service skills.
• Knowledge of restorative and medical nursing principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and basic observations.
• Support patient mobility, transfers, and proper positioning.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
• Assist with feeding and personal hygiene.
• Observe and promptly report changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing, assisting mobility).

Full-Time Shifts Available: 1 Position – Full Time (10 days) GNA (wk.1 Mon – Thurs & Sat wk.2 Sun, Tues - Fri 7am-3pm)

Wage rate: $19.85 to $23.74 per hour commensurate with experience Differentials available.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one (1) to three (3) years of clinical nursing experience and CNA I (formerly GNA) required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and be knowledgeable in restorative and medical nursing principles and practices.
