Job summary

Ingleside at King Farm in Rockville, MD is seeking a CNA II Nursing Assistant to work in our Memory Support Assisted Living Unit. This part-time role offers a wage rate of $19.85 to $23.74 per hour, commensurate with experience, with differentials available.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, measuring vital signs, supporting mobility, maintaining a safe environment, assisting with feeding, and reporting changes to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience; CNA II preferred.
• Technical or nursing-related training or higher preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of restorative and medical nursing principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and basic observations.
• Support patient mobility, transfers, and proper positioning.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
• Assist with feeding and personal hygiene.
• Observe and promptly report changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing, assisting mobility).

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one (1) to three (3) years of clinical nursing experience and CNA II nursing Assistant required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Incumbent should be able to apply practical understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and be knowledgeable in restorative and medical nursing principles and practices.
