Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for our General Med Surg unit at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The role runs 7:00 PM–7:00 AM on a full-time schedule, with responsibilities to support patients with daily living activities and maintain a safe, clean environment under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Eligible candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, completion of the NAI program, and current NA I listing on the nurse aide registry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year preferred; one year in assisted living facilities required.
• Completion of NAI program and listed NA I on nurse aide registry required.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required.
• Basic computer skills for documentation preferred.

What You'll Do

  • One year preferred.
  • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification:

  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
  • Medication Safety - AME, required.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred):Basic computer skills for documentation.
