Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: One year preferred; one year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program; listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required; Medication Safety - AME, required; NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.

• Serve as a trusted partner to nurses and providers, sharing observations to support care plans and keep the team aligned in a fast-paced environment.
• Guide safe mobility and recovery efforts, assisting with ambulation, repositioning, and fall-prevention practices.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation of vitals and patient status to strengthen communication and clinical decision-making.
• Foster a calm, supportive environment for patients and families, offering reassurance and setting expectations.
• Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe environment under RN supervision.

• Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assisted Living units only: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living as scheduled and reporting any change in status to the Charge Nurse

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience:
  • One year preferred.
  • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Completion of NAI program, required.
  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
